Paiyatana

                        Pai is an old city.  Original ethnic population in Pai is Prai which is a family of ethnic use

 language Astro-Asiatic.  As evidence, has ruins of chapel and stupa is scatter throughout the top of

 mountain, upland hillside, Pai river lowland area.  Somewhere building by stone, such as in the forest

 closed Erk-Ker-Ter waterfall which is head quarter of Mae-Ping-Noi River.  Somewhere has dig a

 ditches on a steep mountain and has a stupa on top of mountain

                   The first person prefect is Kun-Sang-Pai.  In reign King of Ho-Ta-ra-pa-tet who is Prince of

 Chiang-Mai.  He had deputed to His Royal Highness Kaew Fa to explore the borderland.  He is finding

 the good location for move the city and introduces Kun Sang Pai for move city to the west of Pai

 River because it is a vast plain.  People called the new city in the west of Pai River "Viengtai" The old

 city known as "Wiang Nua."
